She is survived by: her children, Yevette Knight, Tamica Klatt (Brian) and James Knight; and her siblings, Thomas Simms, Jr., Nathaniel Simms (Claudia), Betty Simms, Anthony Simms (Rachel), John Simms (Evangeline), Linda Smith (Don) and Monica Simms. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
