She was predeceased by: her parents, John Catalfano and Mary Catalfano (DeFazio); her husband Charles J. Balon Sr.; and her children, Donna Mapes and Christopher Balon.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Balon (Janet), John Balon (Vicki), Richard, David (Linda), Edward, Jeff (Shannon), Randy, Ronald (Cathy), Joseph (Jennifer), Barry and Deborah McDaniel (Lester Jr.); her son-in-law Gary Mapes; her sister Mary Spadaro (Ernie Whitehead); and her niece Lisa Spadaro. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (500 Cherry Ln, Johnstown, PA 15904). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (2310 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15904). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Richland Cemetery (1257 Scalp Ave, Johnstown, PA 15904).
