He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Maurer and Alice Maurer (Schrock); his wife Dorothy Maurer; and his siblings, Dean (Lois), Dave Maurer (Annemarie), Ann Maurer and Charlotte Glessner (Charles).
He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Michelle Grancey (Paul), Heather Kline (Bruce) and Stacey Maurer; his grandchildren, Maddison and Emily; his great grandchild Emberlynne; and his sister Pat Williams (Ron). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
