He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Hewitt and Mary Hewitt (Mosholder); and his brothers, Russell and James Hewitt. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hewitt (Kyle); his children, Cheryl Ward (Robert) and Matthew Hewitt (Miranda); his grandsons, Christopher, Nathan, William and Joshua; his daughters, Abigail and Agnes; his great grandchildren, Emerson, Elijah and Lydia; his stepdaughters, Tammy Ressler (Brian), Sherry Strashensky and Lisa Horner (John); his stepgrandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Cody and Kyle; his stepgreat-grandchildren, McAlistar and Temperance; and his sisters-in-law, Sara and Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either, Alzheimer's Association, Parkinson's Research or to the American Diabetes Association, in his memory.
