John Chapman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Chapman (Kane, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Chapman and Mary Chapman (Joshnick); and his siblings, Donna Chapman, Daniel, Wayne and Bob Chapman.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bizzak; his children, Heather Bechakas (Michael) and Dan Chapman (Mary) of Kane; his grandchildren, Alex Bechakas, Landen Chapman, Layne Anderson and Avery Bechakas; and his sister Judy Mickle of Albion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Callistus Catholic Church (342 Chase St, Kane, PA 16735). A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Trail Association of McKean Elk Divide, P.O. Box 326, Kane, PA 16735. or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
