He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence H Thompson and Edie Thompson (Hoak). He is survived by : his wife Mary Lou Thompson (Allen); his daughters, Kathy Smith of Indiana, PA, Krissy Alm (Jeremy) of Iowa, Jennifer Long (Jason) of Tennessee and Lauren Galloway (Stephen) of Renfrew, PA; his grandchildren, Alissa, Emma, Matt, Madison, Isabelle and Graham; and his brothers, Douglas Thompson (Linda) of Volant and Barry Thompson of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
