He was predeceased by: his parents, Josiah Schnell and Minnie Sumney Schnell; and his siblings, Earl, Dean, Ralph, Larry "Pete" Schnell, Helen Stewart and Clara Edmond.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Ann Vensel Schnell; his children, Valerie Paganelli (Jack) of Butler, Dexter R. Schnell (Janice) of Butler, Carla Jack (William "Bill") of Kittanning and Misty Black (Kevin) of Chicora; his grandchildren, Jodi Dunlap (Eric) of Saxonburg, Brian Hobaugh (Heather) of Bruin, Addie Jack of Pittsburgh, Maisie Jack Barnhart (Alan) of Karns City, Lindsay Black Crilley (Shawn) of Fairview and Logan Black of Chicora; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Tyson Dunlap, Liam, Cole Hobaugh and Lilah Barnhart; his brothers, James "Jim" Schnell (Ruth) of Chicora and Dennis "Denny" Schnell (Marjorie) of Kenesaw, GA; his sisters-in-law, Judy Schnell of Karns City and Wilma Schnell of North Washington; his sisters, Maxine Craig of Chicora and Mary Jo Maurhoff (Doyle) of Chicora; and his caregiver Karlie Wolfe. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City (128 Main St, Karns City, PA 16041). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
