He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Meckes and Gladys Meckes Hill (Remaly); his daughter-in-law Julia Meckes; and his brothers, Keith and Darryl Meckes.
He is survived by: his wife Irene F. Meckes (Knepper); his sons, Eric R. Meckes of Port Clinton, PA and Anthony Meckes (Stacey) of Kempton, PA; his grandchildren, Tyler Meckes (Danielle), Ashley Jordan (Andrew) and Jade Meckes; his great grandchildren, Dean and Liam; and his brother Larry W. Meckes (Linda) of New Ringgold, PA..
