With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Eugene McCurdy (Kennett Square, Pennsylvania), born in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 24, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Charles Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles Eugene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son John Charles McCurdy; his brother Alexander "Lex" McCurdy; and his nephew Brett McCurdy. He is survived by: his children, Lynne Louise O'Connor (McCurdy) of Kennett Square, PA, David Paul McCurdy of Encinitas, CA and Anne Elizabeth McCurdy of Pottstown, PA; his wife Jeanne Marie McIlhenny of Mt. Airy; his brother David McCurdy; and his sister-in-law Barbara of Ormond Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his eight grandsons; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; and his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Willowdale Chapel (675 Unionville Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Willowdale Chapel Care Fund at Willowdale Chapel, Kennett Square, PA.
