He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Mark Maston and Georgeanne Reed Gilpin (Jan); and his brothers, Stephen Reed Maston and Gary Wayne Maston. He is survived by: his daughter Leah Mercedes Ahrens (Maston); his grandchildren, Corinne Maston Ahrens, Kendall Nicole Ahrens and Owen Charles Kennedy; and his brother David William Maston (Carol Lynn Maston).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by making someone laugh, holding someone's hand, taking a long drive, or playing a song — just as Chuck would have wanted. Contributions may be made to Brandywine Red Clay Alliance to promote protection of natural resources in the Brandywine and Red Clay Watersheds, including Pocopson Creek, where Chuck loved to fish with his friends and family, especially his grandson Owen.
