She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Clanton and Mildred Clanton; her husband Duke Cole Meredith, Jr.; and her former husband Sydney Winn Fleming. She is survived by: her sister Celeste Hutchinson; her children, Millie Hunter (Frank) and Darwin Meredith (Lilia); her grandchildren, James Hunter (Lizzie), Meredith McCarter (Craig) and Conan Meredith; and her great grandchildren, Josephine, Elizabeth McCarter and Edward Hunter.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery Inc. (1680 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30310). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kendal.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Grace United Methodist Church, 900 Washington St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
