He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Abel and Mary Hawley; his sister Martha Lainer Giachello; and his brother-in-law Bernard Roche. He is survived by: his wife Gloria J "Bunny" Abel; his child Erin Abel Hartfile; his grandchildren, Bridgett Tosco (Emmett) and Harper Hartfile; his siblings, Paula DeMateo (Bob) and Mark Abel (Pam); and his sisters-in-law, Marie Roche Roma and Patricia Roche Bernero. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
