He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Hayes Aul; his sons, Richard and Michael Aul; his brother Lynn Aul; and his son-in-law Alvin Shutters Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith; his children, Carrie Shutters of Ridgway, Stephen Aul of St. Marys and Brian Aul (Susan) of Kane; his siblings, Karen Naugle of Falls Creek, Kevin Aul (Kathy) of Punxsutawney, Kim Lane of Reynoldsville and Lori Bovaird (Roger) of Brockway; his daughter-in-law Kim Aul of St. Marys; and his sister-in-law Charlotte Aul. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Krise Funeral Home (339 Main St, Kersey, PA 15846). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
