He is survived by: his son Alan (Heather Bowman); his former wife Lisa Shiplett; his siblings, Susan Hopkins (Ken), Karen Whipple, Bruce and Tim (Tracey); his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Murphy (Eric), Joshua Hopkins (Kerie), Sarah Hopkins, Samantha Whipple, Emily Shiplett, Lauren Shiplett and Matthew Shiplett; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jake Hanoosic, Mia Murphy, Colin Murphy, Dean Hopkins, Eliza Hopkins, Chrystine Locasio and Julian Whipple.

In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to donate to any animal welfare or environmental organization of their choice.
