William D. Hottenstein Sr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William D. Hottenstein Sr. (Kingston, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 9, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Isaac Hottenstein and Kenneth Hottenstein; and his siblings, Betty Jane Jacobs (Paul), Noelwah Netusil (Louis), Janet Tomasak (Pete) and Ken Hottenstein (Venita).

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Hottenstein PhD (Ellie); his sons, Dr. William Hottenstein (Nora) and Eric Hottenstein; his grandchildren, Celia Hottenstein Taber (Travis) and William Hottenstein; and his pets, Nikki and JD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers and Blue Chip Animal Refuge, Lockville Rd., Dallas.
