He is survived by: his wife Karen Byron-Valasek (Riskosky) of Kittanning; his son Michael Valasek (Melissa) of Ford City; his grandsons, Brandon Valasek (Bree) of Kansas and Jake Valasek of Ford City; his stepchildren, John Byron (Beth) of Kittanning, Trishia Galanis (Jeff) of Cadogan, Michael Byron (Andie) of Arnold and Sarah Shoop (Dan) of Ford City; his stepgrandchildren, Hendrix Shoop, Xander Byron and Brandon Davis; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Trey, Matthew, Aline and Amiela; and his siblings, Mary "Mimi" Toy, John "Cork" Valasek and Tom "Skinny" Valasek (Jackie).
