John J. Altmeyer Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on August 4, 2025, at the age of 85, John J. Altmeyer Jr. (Kittanning, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Edna (Rea) and John Joseph Altmeyer, Sr.; his son Jeff Altmeyer; and his siblings, William Altmeyer, Shirley Woodside, Sandy Lee Altmeyer and Marie Reesman.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Altmeyer (Woolf); his children, Todd Altmeyer (Shelley) of Renfrew and Tammie Dowling (Derek) of Ford City; and his sister Diana Herbst (Ronald) of Hamburg, PA.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
