He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Swast and Esther Swast (Stockey); his son Richard P. Swast; and his siblings, Marco, George, Andy, Frank Swast, Dorothy Naviglia, Mary Sullivan and Paulina Burtges.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Swast (McAfoose). He is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
