He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Straub and Loretta Williard Hatter; and his wife Dorene Smith Straub. He is survived by: his sons, Richard A. Straub (Tara) and Robert L. Straub (Rosane); his grandchildren, Fallon Kukuk and Nathaniel Straub (Valerie); and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Hazel, Jonah and Maggie.
