He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Ivan Best and Pearl Best; his sister Nancy Best Dunlap Plyler; and his great-nephews, Thomas Harold Moore and Wyatt Haight.
He is survived by: his nieces, Christina Best (Bob), Mellissa Travis (Mike), Nancy Powell, Deanna Milford (Brian) and Emily Haight (Chris); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allyssa, Jonathan Hall, Abbygail, Glenn Travis (Elizabeth), James, Aaron Moore, Henry, Sarah Milford, Shelby, Cassidy Haight, Kate, Evan (Racheal) and Nate Best; Brooke, Parker, Kinzlee and Easton.
