He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph A. Neely and Evelyn G. Hartman Neely of Callensburg; his wife Patricia A. Etzel; his son Gary E. Neely; and his sisters, Kay Rea and Sandra Jackson.

He is survived by : his children, William David Neely of Indiana, Daniel J. Neely of Frederick and Bonnie Jean McBroom (Jan) of Derry; his granddaughter Jessica Lynn of Frederick, Maryland; and his siblings, Merry Gene Bartley, Blake Neely (Kay) and Blane Neely (Heather).
