He was predeceased by: his wife Janet L. Getz (Gehman); his parents, Harry F. Getz and Irene M. Getz (Newhard); and his siblings, Paul, Doris Fenstermaker (Frederick) and Edith Ruppert (Carl).
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey S. (Beverly) of Kutztown, Mark C. (Angela) of Kutztown and Tyler of Alburtis; his grandchildren, Lisa Oswald, Justin and Jaron Getz; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Emily Oswald; his sister Joyce Ziegler of Reading; and his close friend Sandra Follweiler.
