He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his stepchildren, Kathleen, Marjorie, Holly, James and Jennifer Epstein; his daughter-in-law Gina Florio-Ely; and his grandchildren, Sydney, Thomas, Maxwell, Robert, Hannah, Penelope and Matthew.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Leslie H. Ely to the American Lung Association.
