He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Karlowicz, and Helen Karlowicz, Sr. (Yuric); his wife Kay Kidwell Karlowicz; his children, Franco Karlowicz (Jackie) of Orlando, FL, Anthony "Little Buddy" Karlowicz (Kelli) of Carmichaels, Kelly Matzus (Kevin) of Fairchance and Joshua Darr of Uniontown; his grandchildren, Charleigh Karlowicz, Colie Darr and Caleb Matzus Chapman; and his siblings, Darlene Azzardi (Joey), Tammy Crable (Jerry), Michele Barill (Jimmy), Linda Capitoni (Geno) and Michael Karlowicz (Charity).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
