He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda R. VanSteenberg and Henry VanSteenberg; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Platt Ketner, Robert Platt, Robert Ketner and William Logue; and his nephew W. Dennis Logue.
He is survived by: his wife Sonya Stewart Ritts; his brother H. Dale VanSteenberg of Miami; his daughters, Nicole L. Penny (Michael) of Nickleville, Brandi L. Fisher (Gregory) of Parker and Bobbi J. Ritts; his grandchildren, Caleb Michael Penny, Elijah David Penny, Aubrey Alexandra Fisher, Marissa Mae Fisher, Jacob James Fisher, Noah Wesley Ritts and Tucker James Hamilton; his sister-in-law Barbara J. Logue of St. Petersburg; and his sibling's children, David Logue (Chris) of Butler, Marcy Courson (Rob) of St. Petersburg and Melanie Courson (Tom) of St. Petersburg.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church (2057 PA-208, Lamartine, PA 16375). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Edenburg Lodge #550. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church (2057 PA-208, Lamartine, PA 16375).
