She is survived by: her parents, Mark Shipe and Eileen Shipe (Cavanaugh); her husband Craig K. Swanger; her children, Brandon, Nathaniel and Kylie Swanger; her granddaughter April; and her sister Melissa "Missy" Paup (Bryan). She is also survived by 9 nephews and 1 niece.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude's.
