He was predeceased by: his former wife Carolyn R. Schultz Mattiace; his parents, Pietro Mattiace and Maria L. Ferranti Mattiace; and his brothers, Pietro, Leonardo, Nicholo and Vito.
He is survived by: his wife Charity A. Minnick Mattiace; his children, Donna Shapiro of Lancaster and Michael Mattiace (Shawn Marie Jones) of Burelson, TX; his grandchildren, Amanda L. Carl, Christopher J. Carl, Gerald L. Carl (Maria Ortiz-Carl), Joshua Almodovar-Mattiace, Britney A. Mattiace, Logan M. Mattiace, Shaun Sadusky and Jamaine Murray, Sr.; his sisters, Rose Palazzolo of Wantagh, NY and Angela Bruton of Massapequa, NY; his niece Lisa; and his nephews, Paul and Angelo. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
