With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arlene F. (Jacobs) Dodd of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold K. Jacobs and Florence Jacobs (Wiles); her son Forest Donald Dodd II (Woody); her siblings, Carolyn Vanderpool, Joan Willoughby, Arnold Jacobs Jr. and Roger Jacobs; and her son-in-law Frank Irwin.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Irwin of Jessup, MD, Michael Dodd (Lisa Delbrugge) of Pittsburgh, PA, Stephen Dodd (Maggi Freed) of Lancaster, PA, William Dodd (Nancy Sigman) of San Antonio, TX and Margaret Strausser (Gregory) of Lancaster, PA.; her grandchildren, Megan (Matt), Matt (Carol), Justin (Renna), Zachary (Kayla), Ashley (David), Chad, Kayla, Olivia (Adrian), Justine (Jeremy) and Stephen; and her siblings, Edwin Jacobs and Janet Simpson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (308 S Myrtle Ave, Willard, OH 44890).
