She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Mumford and Thelma Mumford (Heeter); her husband Lawrence "Larry" J. Hess; her son Scott Michael Oleksa; and her brother Ronald Mumford.
She is survived by: her children, Christina M. Eichelberger (Paul) of Landisville and Gregory S. Oleksa (Pamela) of Lancaster; and her sister Linda Harman (Paul) of Arizona. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
