He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Carol Wittmaier; his parents, Herbert Wittmaier and Miriam Wittmaier (Nixon); and his brothers, Herbert Wittmaier (Bud) and Jack Wittmaier.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Wittmaier (Tracy) and Kristen Duff (Bob Duff); his stepdaughter Beth Bakken (Rich); and his grandsons, Joshua Duff (Maddy), Alex Duff and Seth Anderson.
