She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicasio Martinez and Providencia Nieves; her son Jose A. Alvarez; and her siblings, Miguel Martinez and Luz Martinez.
She is survived by: her daughter Veronica Alvarez; her close friend Nelson Rodriguez of Lancaster; and her siblings, Aurea, Maria Martinez of Lancaster, Luz Ayala of Puerto Rico, Edita Martinez of Allentown and Angel Martinez of Puerto Rico. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
