He was predeceased by: his father John Fleming; and his former wife Cindy Fleming. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Fleming (Lawson); his wife Jo Fleming; his stepchildren, Kirstin Smith and Andy Smith; his grandchildren, Samantha and Henry Smith; his siblings, Sharon Kline, Ron Fleming, Judy Fisher, Blenda Rice and Bruce Fleming; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Coxey and Gary Coxey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
