He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Rodgers and Elsie Rodgers Zook (Yost); and his brothers, Charles and Sterling Rodgers. He is survived by: his wife Janet Styer Rodgers of New Holland; his children, Patti J. Hornberger (Scott) of Bradenton, FL, Jennifer L. Simmons of Strasburg and Scott D. Rodgers (Lisa) of Emmitsburg, MD; his grandchildren, Erika Weaver (Jared), Kyle Hornberger (Jena), Emily and Rachel Simmons (Hunter Menges); his great grandchildren, Clay, Colby, Sheridan Weaver, Ronin Hornberger and Hunter Wright; his stepchildren, Pam Cameron (John) of Lititz, Craig Styer (Sandy) of Terre Hill and George Styer (Angie) of Denver; his stepgrandchildren, Jen Cameron (Blake Mitchell), John Styer (Marissa), Daniel Styer (Taylor), Holli Sensinig (Chad) and Brandi Martin (Kyle); and his siblings, Betty Jane Gehman (Darrel) and Kenny Rodgers (Alice).
A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Salem Evangelical Reformed Church (2555 Horseshoe Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in his memory to Salem Evangelical Reformed Church Hellers Perpetual Fund for the upkeep of the cemetery.
