He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ann Esh; his parents, Elias Esh and Katie Esh; his great grandchild Chelsea Jane Yordy; and his siblings, Lydia Zook, Samuel, David and Amos.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Rohrer (Douglas), Samuel Esh (Susan), J. Donald Esh (Angela) and Douglas Esh (Kelly). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
