He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena M. Carter Sheaffer and John E. Sheaffer, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda L. Martzall Sheaffer; his brother-in-law Dennis A. Martzall (Kris Gravenor Martzall); his sibling's children, Abby K. Martzall Nelson (Timothy Nelson) and Daniel A. Martzall; his great-nieces, Elly, Hannah Nelson and Adeline Martzall; and his great-nephew Jonah Nelson.
