She was predeceased by: her parents, George N. Young and Ruth M. Purnell Young Rupp; her former husband Richard C. Smith, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Susan E. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Richard C. Smith, III of Pittsburgh, William R. Smith of Aston and Ruth A. (Jeff Herr) of Strasburg; her husband Ronald Sahd of Columbia; and her brother-in-law Michael D. (Susan Smith) of Lancaster.
