He is survived by: his children, Vickie B. (Karl Alston) of East Granby, CT and Douglas S. Bender; his grandchildren, Douglas T., Scott, Jared, Lindsey, Alicia and Ben; and his brother J. Warren (Ada Bender) of Lancaster.
