As Lois departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence C. Hess and Mary A. Greenawalt Hess; and her husband James R. Vital, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Denise M. (John Boyer) of Lancaster, Vicky J. (David Riley) of Ocala, FL and James R., Jr. (Philip Greco); her sister-in-law Nikki Hess of Lancaster; and her sisters, Judith A. Cooper of Lititz and Jean M. (Gordon Landis) of Lebanon. She is also survived by four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
