He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Joan Motter; and his siblings, Bill Holland, Laura Williams, Margaret Holland, Ruby Swallie, Elinor Castello, Martha Heskett and Linda Debolt.

He is survived by: his son Douglas Motter (Patricia) of Lancaster, PA; his granddaughters, Lauren, Rebekah Clarke (Neil), Faith Feister (Jared), Hannah and Grace; and his siblings, Norma Heskett of Belmont and Ronnie Motter of Arizona.
