He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Heisse and Agnes Heisse; and his former wife Bonnie Willis. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Helm; his children, Robert Jr., Virginia, Jonathan (Patricia) and Melissa; and his stepchildren, Christopher (Amy) and Jacqueline (Kurt). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
