He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Saul Rapaport and Helene Rapaport Wiener; his wife Carol Giltman Rapaport; his children, Darla Prudhomme, Mary Rapaport (Gillingham Landis), Beck Grey, Carrie Rapaport, Michael Orstein (Heather) and Abby Murphy (James); his sister Darla Schwartz; and his sibling's children, Ted Schwartz, Jeff Schwartz and Pam Schwartz. He was also cherished by his nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
