With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Mae (Weathers) McKinney of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, born in Manning, South Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George R. McKinney Sr.; her parents, Charlie and Catherine Weathers (McFadden); her children, Ernest Williams Sr. and Carlen J. McKinney; and her siblings, Ethel Mae Williams, Charlie Weathers Jr. of Manning, SC, Rovenia Richardson, Azalee Young, Julia Witherspoon, Eugene Weathers, Leroy Weathers Sr. and Nathanial Weathers.
She is survived by: her children, George McKinney Jr. (Jocelyn) of Lancaster Pa, Lennell McKinney of Lancaster Pa, Odessie Williams of Lancaster, Georgia Lindsey of Lancaster, Rutnet Thomas of Lancaster and Bonnie Morant (late James M. Morant Sr.) of Lancaster; and her siblings, James Weathers of York Pa and Annie Mae Thompson of Manning, SC.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grands, and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions in Ruth's name may be made to Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.
