He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel M. Witmer; his parents, Enos Witmer and Miriam Witmer; his son Dale E. Witmer; and his brothers, Earl Witmer and Clyde Witmer.
He is survived by: his children, Jay E. (Elsie Witmer) of Lancaster and Linda E. Witmer of Lancaster; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Witmer Brubaker (late Dale E. Witmer); and his brother Ray Witmer (Meredith).
