He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Brooks and Edith Brooks; and his brother Harry F. Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Sue; and his stepdaughters, Laura Petrosky and Shelly Culbertson. He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
