He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kirchner and Freda Kirchner (Kniesel); his wife Mary L. Kirchner (Coldren); and his brother Gerald "Fritz" Kirchner. He is survived by: his children, Diane Pawson (John) of Pequea, Sharon Abel of Lancaster, Lori Brady (Michael) of Lancaster and William Kirchner III of Lancaster. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
