He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Sanderson (Mulhare); his daughters, Laura Benfield (Colin), Kerry Sanderson, Julie Sanderson and Christie Filepas (Zander); his grandchildren, Sophia, Charlie and Lucy Benfield; his mother Patricia Sanderson (Kalafut); and his siblings, Michael Sanderson (Lisa), Kathleen Yearsley (Ed) and Susan Rock (Tim). He is also survived by his family and being a father to his four girls.
