For David is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Grayson D. Starner and Betsy K. Van Ness Starner; and his sister Nancy L. Starner. He is survived by: his wife Terri L. Smith Starner; his daughters, Jacqueline Simonovich (Scott) and Brittany Torres (Dan); his granddaughter Sabrina; and his siblings, Robert Starner (Abi) and Gretchen Famous (Dan).
