He is survived by: his wife Linda Burns; his children, Joseph D. Burns III (Anne), Michael Burns (Kristine), Joy Clayton (Brian) and Marie Eberling (Charlie); his grandchildren, Michael Burns, Madden Burns, Jude Eberling, Bryce Eberling, Aaron Eberling, Sybilla Hare, Grace Clayton, Jeremiah Burns, Evan Clayton, Andrew Hare and Robert Hare; his sisters, Debbie DiStefano (Dave), Karen Wanjek (Carl) and Trish Hermely (Alan); and his siblings-in-law, Lisa Visco, Joanie Cook, Jimmy and Michael Cook (Sherri). He is also survived by his cousins and many nieces and nephews.
