He is survived by: his wife Patricia B. Mellon; his sons, Peter Mellon, Douglas Mellon and Christopher Mellon; his grandson John Mellon; and his siblings, Thomas Mellon, Bernadette Mellon, Julia Affonsa and Mary Devine.
