He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica Williams Hermanson; his parents, Herman Hermanson and Rose Hermanson (O'Connor); and his siblings, Thomas, Herman Hermanson, Winifred Havener and Kathleen Hewins.

He is survived by: his daughters, Veronica Widmer, Kathleen McCloskey, Rosemary McLaughlin (Edward), Patricia Satchell (David), Eileen Dutton (George) and Karen Lynch (William). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
